There comes a time in everyone’s life when frustration rears its ugly head. It’s easy to be frustrated with people, situations, and our immediate environment. How we choose to deal with that frustration defines our character to other people.
Over the last couple of years, I’ve discovered that those little random things that get under our skin, are not worth the worry, frustration, & stress that we allow them to cause.
Here’s the challenge: the next time you allow yourself to be frustrated, ask yourself if this thing will matter to you in 40 yrs!! The answer is probably, “”no”!!!
Does your world crumble when you spill milk? What about when the neighbor’s dog takes a Crap in your front yard or the mail is delivered a day late?
Do you clinch your teeth when that maniac driver cuts you off or almost runs over you while texting at 100 mph on the interstate?
Do you get angry when mud is tracked in from the outdoors on new carpet? Have you ever exploded when witnessing some careless woman, man, or child leaving you a shiny new dent in your car?
These things mean absolutely nothing in the long run.
The spilled milk is easily wiped clean. The mud is not perminate on the carpet. The value of your car automatically goes down when your teenage driver gets behind the wheel anyway. So…why worry over a dent or scratch? The driver going 100MPH will eventually get a speeding ticket.
But most importantly, the Crap on your shoe from the neighbor’s dog comes off your shoe in your neighbor’s house when you visit!!!!
Live, LOVE, Learn 🙂
