Resolutions?

Resolutions? Do you make them at the beginning of a New Year?

I haven’t ever been a big fan of resolutions. Perhaps because I was very overweight as a child, my resolutions were to lose weight each year that I did make one…and I failed. Who hasn’t done this? Everyone I know has made Resolutions and has broken them, heart broken afterwards, and wishing they had made a better resolution.

I don’t make Resolutions any longer. I will however pick a word for the New Year and a thought that will remain with me throughout the entire year. This year My word was: FAITH. My thought is: Remain Humble and Thankful.

So, is what I do a true New Year’s Resolution? I don’t know, but the Lord has taken each word I choose and each thought and used them to help me grow in each New Year…whether I watch Dick Clark on TV or not  🙂

  1. Hiya! awesome blog! I happen to be a day-to-day visitor to your website (somewhat a lot more like addict ) of this internet site. Just wanted to say I appreciate your blogs and am searching forward for far more to come!

  2. Hehe. I think the same way. I don’t make resolutions, just trying to become better, thing I try to do everyday.

  3. I think that is a great New Year’s Resolution! A lot of people around me this year have gone with a change in viewing life throughout year rather than having one attainable goal. Mine for this year is, “Commit and Execute” when it comes to multiple aspects of my life. I feel like I tend to wait around too much. Anyways, great post and happy new year!
