Today’s Adventure – Yuck, began this morning when I awoke to the sound of 5 alarms goings off, as usual, and found several delightful surprises on my trek to the bathroom. (Who doesn’t have to pee first thing in the morning?) Sitting on the end of the bed before lift-off (to potty) I noticed a nasty sight right next to my feet.  There placed ever so precisely was a dead bird. It’s feathers plucked and laying in a spray formation around it. I was WIDE awake now. Yuck!!

The cat sat in the entry way to the hall waiting for his praise. I proclaimed, “Yuck”, and sternly eyeballed the cat. I stepped over the bird, needing to get to the bathroom badly now, and into the hall. In the hall, there was another unidentified animal body. What the… I scolded the cat, like it would do any good and went to the restroom. While in the restroom, I heard one of my sons yell, “Gross! Yuck!! Mooooom…” Assuming they had seen the bird or the other…thing, I exited the restroom to see my son standing in the living room pointing at a dead rat. (This, I could identify.) I told him this would explain why the cat sat in the corner appearing to be very pleased with himself. We started clean up duty and my other son yelled, “Ahhhh! Yuck!! Mooooom!!!” I ran into the laundry room to find yet another body.   We threw away the nastiness we found and cleaned up the messes left behind. 

We all got dressed, ran out the door and went to school/work. During my drive I thought about how the cat must either love us or has turned Dahmer on us. Either way, I think it’s safe to say, our cat will live outside now!!
